Gcalendar Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Gcalendar Android app (package name com.localcal.calendar) ("Gcalendar", "the app") handles your information. Gcalendar is developed by ADDexia (Singapore) ("we", "us").

1. Summary

• Gcalendar connects to your Google Account only to show and manage your Google Calendar events and Google Tasks.
• Your calendar and task data is stored on your device and exchanged directly between your device and Google's servers.
• We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with unrelated third parties.

2. Information the app accesses

When you connect a Google Account and grant permission, Gcalendar accesses the following Google user data through Google's official APIs:

• Google Calendar data (Google Calendar API, scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar): your calendars and calendar events, including details such as event titles, dates and times, locations, descriptions, reminders and attendees.
• Google Tasks data (Google Tasks API, scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks): your task lists and tasks, including titles, notes, due dates and completion status.

The app asks for these permissions through Google's standard authorization screen. You can decline, and you can withdraw access at any time (see section 7).

3. How the app uses this information

Gcalendar uses Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing calendar and task features you see in the app, namely:

• showing your calendars, events, task lists and tasks;
• creating, editing, moving, completing and deleting events and tasks when you ask it to; and
• keeping the app's local copy in sync with your Google Account.

The app changes your Google Calendar or Google Tasks data only as a result of actions you take in the app.

4. Where your data is stored

To open quickly and work offline, Gcalendar keeps a copy of your calendar and task data in a local database (Android Room) in the app's private storage on your device. Other apps can't read this storage.

Data travels directly between your device and Google's servers over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. We do not run servers that receive, store or process your Google user data, and we cannot see your calendar or task data.

5. Sharing and disclosure

• We do not sell Google user data or any other personal data.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising, including personalised, retargeted or interest-based advertising.
• We do not share or transfer Google user data to unrelated third parties, such as data brokers or information resellers.
• We do not use Google user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• No human at ADDexia reads your Google user data, unless you explicitly ask us to for a support request and give your permission, or unless required by applicable law.

The app does not contain advertising or third-party analytics.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Gcalendar's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Retention, deletion and control

• The local copy of your data stays on your device until you disconnect your Google Account in the app, clear the app's data in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Any of these removes it from the device.
• Your data in Google Calendar and Google Tasks stays in your Google Account and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Uninstalling Gcalendar does not delete your Google data.
• You can remove Gcalendar's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Because we don't hold your Google user data on our own servers, we have no copy of it to delete. If you have questions about deletion, contact us (see section 11).

8. Security

The app talks to Google over encrypted HTTPS connections, uses Google's standard authorization mechanisms, and keeps its local data in app-private storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Children

Gcalendar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. If a change significantly affects how Google user data is used, we will update this page before the change takes effect and, where required, ask for your consent again.
